Have you ever been sat behind your desk at work, daydreaming about what it would be like to just hand in your notice and set off travelling around the world for the foreseeable future?
Leon Logothetis is a global adventurer, motivational speaker & philanthropist. It wasn’t always that way. He used to be a broker in the city of London where he felt uninspired and chronically depressed. He gave it all up for a life on the road. This radical life change was inspired by the inspirational movie The Motorcycle Diaries.
The Kindness Diaries, now showing on Netflix, follows Leon’s travels around the world on his trusty yellow motorbike Kindness One. Relying entirely on the kindness of strangers and giving back to unsuspecting good Samaritans along the way. During the trip, Leon discovers that being ‘seen’ is the most powerful gift we can give others.
In this episode you’ll discover that chasing wealth and material things in life can often leave a void, that can only be truly filled by sharing compassion and empathy with others. It’s about smiling at the world and seeing what happens when the world smiles right back at you.
Leon believes that the inner rebel tells you that your life is yours. And anything you dream of is possible. Anything. And that the fuel for all this delicious potential is simple: Kindness and harnessing the power of human connection.
Leon has visited more than 90 countries and traveled to every continent. Leon has documented his travels for numerous media outlets including Good Morning America, Los Angeles Times and San Francisco Chronicle.
In this episode you’ll learn…
‘Kindness & compassion is how you show up to the world on a moment by moment basis’
‘When you get more connected to your heart you want to spread it to as many people as you can’
‘In some of the poorest places in the world, they are the happiest people, because they have a sense of community’
‘I felt this profound sense that there was so much more to life than just sitting behind this desk’
